UNIVR, UNITN, CSSC

Applications are now open for the new Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Legal and Criminological Sciences for Security and Intelligence (Scienze giuridiche e criminologiche per la sicurezza e l’intelligence) – LM/SC-GIUR class (Legal Sciences) – promoted by the Department of Law at the University of Verona and the Faculty of Law at the University of Trento, in close cooperation with the Interuniversity Centre for Security and Crime Sciences.

Accredited by ANVUR on 24 July 2025, this programme (in Italian) offers a unique pathway in the Italian academic landscape. It is not the product of trends or passing fashions, but the result of a long, shared, and passionate endeavour built on the extensive experience of two universities that have long invested in research and teaching in the fields of security, crime, and intelligence.

The degree aims to train highly specialised legal professionals capable of operating in strategic areas such as public and private security, crime prevention, intelligence, and risk analysis, with an interdisciplinary background and cutting-edge tools to address the challenges of contemporary society.

Open to graduates from various academic backgrounds, the programme offers two tracks (security and intelligence for the public sector; security and intelligence for the private sector) and combines legal expertise with knowledge from criminology, computer science, statistics, psychology, economics, history, and medicine.

The course has been developed and will be delivered in collaboration with a network of national stakeholders to ensure constant alignment with the needs of the labour market.

Classes will be held in person at the University of Verona and online, starting on 15 September 2025.
