CybeRights: Assessment and Future Perspectives

Florence (IT)

The UniTrento Research Unit took part in the conference “CybeRights: Assessment and Future Perspectives”, held on 20–21 November 2025 at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Florence. The event was part of the CybeRights project, developed within the SERICS Extended Partnership – Security and Rights in the CyberSpace.

The conference offered a significant opportunity for dialogue among academia, institutions, and public and private stakeholders at both national and European levels. Over two days, participants discussed the major challenges linked to the regulation of cyberspace and the protection of fundamental rights in the digital environment.

The programme featured four thematic sessions focusing on the project’s main results, stakeholder engagement, and the future of digital governance. Particular attention was devoted to fostering collaboration between the scientific community and professionals to support the development of tools and policies for a safer and more rights-respecting cyberspace.

The event also included a poster session, where Beatrice Rigon, Bianca Donati and Beatrice Pattaro presented findings from victimization survey on digital crime, conducted by the Trento Research Unit among individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The eCrime research group also extends its congratulations to Maria Vittoria Zucca (Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, and IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca), former student and thesis author at the University of Trento, winner of the award for best poster.
