
The Institute of Safety and Security Sciences of the University of Trento (ISSTN) is a laboratory that connects more than 70 professors of 11 Departments/Centers of the University, who address security and safety issues from different but interconnected perspectives and disciplines (e.g. law, statistics, cognitive sciences, sociology, political sciences, engineering, etc.).
ISSTN deals with security and safety issues with a strongly interdisciplinary and innovative approach. In particular, it focuses on the implementation of:
complex and interdisciplinary, applied research projects;
high-level education courses, for both graduates and professionals.
ISSTN aims to provide innovative solutions to contemporary challenges and threats, by facilitating a constant connection and dialogue among researchers, public institutions, private companies, and other relevant actors in the fields of security and safety.
